GCICL Construction Company, founded in 2023 by eight lifelong friends from Elizabeth Estates, was born from the urgent need to rebuild our community after devastating hurricanes. What began as neighbors helping neighbors has grown into a mission-driven LLC committed to affordable housing and national infrastructure solutions.
Our unique structure combines the expertise of multiple successful contractors and businessmen, creating a collaborative force in Bahamian construction. We specialize in hurricane-resilient homes, community spaces, and sustainable infrastructure while actively mentoring young Bahamians in skilled trades.

The Foundation
Carlos Alexander Coakley began his construction journey, laying the groundwork for what would become decades of excellence in the building industry. Starting with residential projects in Nassau, his commitment to quality craftsmanship quickly set him apart.
Expanding Horizons
The team expanded their expertise globally, taking on prestigious projects in Manhattan, New York City, and Atlanta, Georgia, while simultaneously developing luxury properties in upscale Bahamian neighborhoods like Treasure Cove and Bimini Bay.
Building Partnerships
Strategic collaborations were formed with industry leaders including Ellis Cullmer Construction, Echo's Construction, and Opac Construction. Team members like Aaron Forbes brought multi-trade expertise spanning electrical, carpentry, and plumbing services.
GCICL is Born
Following devastating hurricanes, eight lifelong friends from Elizabeth Estates united to form GCICL Construction Company LLC. What started as neighbors helping neighbors evolved into a mission-driven company focused on affordable housing and national infrastructure.
